Zelda Phantom Hourglass

Yes everyone! I finally picked up a copy of Nintendo’s new Zelda outing on the DS.

After waking up with a (not as bad as I thought) hangover, Matthew’s birthday card for me had arrived. He included a £15 HMV voucher inside for me to spend on whatever tickles my fancy. The thought crossed my mind that maybe I could get Spiderman 3 on DVD for absolutely nothing with it… but I decided to get the new Zelda game instead!

If you’ve seen screenshots of the game on the net, you might think “Huh, this isn’t very good”, but you’d be wrong. The touchscreen controls are really intuitive and the gameplay I’ve seen so far can only be rivalled by the other Zelda titles. I’ve read a review the other day though which said that the game was somewhat easy. It’s a good thing I knew that before I bought it, otherwise I would’ve been disappointed.

All that’s left now is for Kirstie’s card to arrive in the post. She sent her’s the day after Matt’s, so it should arrive tomorrow…
