A little bit of rearranging

There’ve been two issues I’ve had since I moved into the flat:

• The early morning sun shines in my face, which isn’t good… especially after a night out on the lash
• If I’m on the computer and the room seems stuffy, opening the window takes a while to freshen it up because the desk is in the far corner

So today I decided to kill two birds with one stone… I’ve swapped the bed and desk around in my bedroom! My bed’s out of the direct sunlight now, and my computer desk is right by the window. The moment I open the window, I immediately feel the fresh air come in. It was also a good thing too that I moved the PC, because it made me see how much dust will still in the machine when I moved. *Blows dust out* *coughs* *splutters* There… that should help keep the temperature down.

As you can see, there’s not a lot to report right now, but I have a feeling there will be soon…

New project underway

I used to have a site I built myself. Now I’m using SimplePHPBlog. It’s really good, but I feel I’ve lost touch with who I am a little… a web designer. Sure, I do web design at work but I haven’t done anything about my own site for ages!

So I’m redesigning it.

I’m going back to my roots, writing my own blog code and menu structure and everything! I’m doing what I’ve always wanted to do with it and it’s going to be perfect! This is gonna take a looong time no doubt, but it’ll be worth it!

Another stupid valentine’s day

Oh joy of joys!* Another day where couples all around the world insist on rubbing it in the faces of single folk. At least I don’t have to go through the hassle of trying to book a table in a restaurant tonight, and it gives me an excuse to use this again…

What was the one problem with the new car? The stereo. It came with a cassette player that, sadly, busted a long time ago. Ya stick a tape in there and it won’t play cos the motor’s gone, and the eject button is borked as well. In order to listen to anything, I had to use an FM transmitter, but the aerial was snapped off ages ago so the reception wasn’t fantastic. SOOOOoooo……

My very first car

Well, I have a car now! I’ve been looking around for a couple of months for a Honda Jazz but sadly they’re too expensive… that, and I was turned down for a loan by the sodding bank! Bloody recession! Anyway, the folks stopped by this weekend and gave me my dad’s old car. It’s an 11 year old Renault Megane hatchback 1.4, and looks a little like this:

Now I have the freedom to go pretty much wherever I please!

Diet Update

It’s certainly been a short while since I had any diet updates for you all! Then again, I’ve had my birthday, bonfire night, christmas AND new year to compete with since I was no longer declared as overweight. Over Christmas and new year I didn’t follow the diet because… well… how can ya??! Over those two weeks alone I’d put on 5 lbs! 😮 (more…)
